600cc race Series for Club Racers

| Suzuki
GB and the Auto Cycle Union Ltd (ACU) are pleased to announce the
launch of the new ACU/Suzuki GSX-R Trophy, a new Clubman racing series
for 2007. |
|
| The
series will run within the 2007 ACU-Dunlop Tyres MotoStar Cup, formerly
the ACU Star Championship. The ACU-Dunlop Tyres MotoStar Cup will
also include classes for Sport Production 125, 125GP (including the
ACU Academy Challenge), 250GP and a new Sport Production class for
bikes up to 1000cc. The Championship will also feature the F2 Sidecar
Championship in association with the Formula Sidecar Racing Association
(FSRA). |

| The
new series is the first of two all new ACU 'Go Race' packages, designed
to give new and existing club riders the chance to compete on a level
playing field, both in terms of machine performance and cost. Details
of the second package aimed at Sport Production riders will be announced
shortly. |

| The
Suzuki package will include a brand new Suzuki GSX-R600 with all racing
accessories, plus Dunlop Tyres for the 8 Round Championship, Entry
fees paid for all Rounds and a Dainese clothing package which includes
leathers, boots, gloves and a back protector. Thanks to the support
of a number of industry partners, including Suzuki GB, Crescent Suzuki,
Dunlop Tyres, Micron, Performance Friction Products and Dainese, the
ACU are able to offer this package for only £12,040. |

| Suzuki
GB marketing manager Paul de Lusignan was delighted to announce the
championship at a recent photoshoot, commenting, "Racing is at
the forefront of Suzuki's business, and we know how important new
blood is for our sport. With the ACU GSX-R Trophy we are able to provide
a hassle free and low-cost way for newcomers to start racing". |

Director Martyn James said: "Crescent is delighted to be involved
in this initiative designed to attract new blood into the sport
of road
racing. We operate two of the most professional road racing teams
in the
world and by supplying the bikes for this series we are focussing
our
attention on helping the grass roots level.
"There's nothing more we would like to see than a young British
talent
come through the ACU/Suzuki GSX-R Trophy and challenge for a seat
in our
Superbike or Grand Prix team. We want to help foster British Champions
of
the future."

will offer people the best route from road to track."
To
emphasise the desire to attract new riders to the sport, the ACU
are also adding a free Competitor Training Course and Novice Road
Race Licence to the package, free of charge.
Jim
Parker, Chairman of the ACU Road Race Committee is delighted with
the new package, "This new series is the first of a number
of initiatives by the ACU to promote motorcycle Road Racing to a
new audience of participants. I am delighted by the way that our
efforts have been received and supported by the wider industry and
look forward to swelling the ranks of young motorcycle road racers,
thereby moving a step closer to a British Road Race World Champion."

Participants
in the ACU/Suzuki GSX-R Trophy will also benefit from the full support
of the ACU Academy, with free diet and fitness seminars at the National
Sport Centre at Bisham Abbey and Sports Psychology seminars at Lilleshall.
To
complete the package, the series will include fantastic end of season
awards for the best under 23 year old rider and the best over 23
year old rider. There are a limited number of places on the grid
for the 2007 ACU-Suzuki GSX-R Trophy, allocated on a first come
first served basis. Riders are urged to secure their place with
a £1000 deposit as soon as possible.
The
ACU/Suzuki GSX-R Trophy machines will be on show on the Suzuki and
Dunlop stands at the National Motorcycle Show at the NEC 30th October/5th
November 2006, where members of the public can sign up for the series.
